  I do not recommend. I suspect he was recommending work on me when there wasn't a need for it. He said I had several cavities but didn't show me the x-rays or explain them as he usually did. His suspicious behavior made me realize that there is no one to police these guys and keep them honest. When business is scarce, they can completely make things up and say I need this or that and because I'm not a dentist I have to take their word for it. So I went to another dentist for a second opinion. When I asked Hurd to release my x-rays his receptionist refused. I had to get a signed note from my new dentist. When they released them they were unreadable, it looked like they made a copy of a copy. His receptionist was rude on several occasions. I don't know if she still works there and I can't remember her name but she was an older Asian woman. After examining me the new dentist said he didn't see any cavities. I'm not sure if my suspicions were valid but having a dentist I can trust is essential. On a positive note, Dr. Hurd's dental hygienist was great. Nonetheless, I'm glad i changed dentist. My new dentist ended up being the best dentist I've had in years.

  Dr. Hurd is one of the best dentists I have ever had. He is funny, friendly, gentle, considerate, and on the ball about a variety of dental procedures. In fact, I recently used his services to get braces. His staff is compassionate, personable, and conscientious. I feel like I’m seeing old friends with every visit. I often refer Dr. Hurd to coworkers, friends and family.
